Ottawa, May 29, 2007 - The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) revises its policies, rules, and procedures on a quarterly basis to respond to the demands of Registrants and potential Registrants, to better meet the needs of CIRA Certified Registrars, and to implement operational improvements.
Amendment to the “General Registration Rules”
Section 6.1 has been amended. Registrants now have the option to request that CIRA directly re-issue them their user account and private password.

No release of municipal domain names
At this time, CIRA is not releasing any municipal domain names in accordance with the “Registration of Municipal Names Policy, Rules and Procedures”.
