CIRA announces new contest to celebrate .CA websites
Create a video and win with the showusyour.ca contest!
Ottawa, February 23, 2010 - The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) is asking Canadians to show off their .CA website in the showusyour.ca video contest. Starting February 23, 2010, all .CA website holders are invited to make a short video explaining why their website is the best. The grand prize winner will receive a MacBook Pro and be featured in a future .CA marketing campaign.
"With over 1.3 million .CA websites, we realized there are a lot of stories for Canadians to tell," says Byron Holland, President and CEO of CIRA. Holland went on to say that, "There's no better way to celebrate those .CA stories than by letting the website owners tell their stories through video. I invite all .CA website owners to tell us how their .CA website benefits them!"
Video testimonials must be no longer than three minutes. Entrants are asked to upload their videos to YouTube through the online contest entry form, available at http://www.showusyour.ca.
As well as the grand prize, the first runner-up will receive a 64GB iPod touch, and the second runner-up will receive a Flip UltraHD camcorder.
Canadians will have until March 15, 2010 to submit their video. A panel will then shortlist the videos and all Canadians will then be invited to vote for their favourite. As an added bonus, everyone who votes will be entered into a draw to win a Flip UltraHD camcorder.
