CIRA's 2010 Nomination Committee - New Members Selected

Ottawa, February 17, 2010 – The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), the organization responsible for operating .CA is pleased to announce its newly selected Nomination Committee Members.

The Nomination Committee carries out a critical role in selecting a diverse roster of qualified Candidates to ensure that CIRA’s Member-elected Board of Directors represents a wide range of views and interests when defining the strategic direction of CIRA as it contributes to Canadian Internet policy.

Nomination Committee Members were selected from applicants from a cross section of public, private, not-for-profit, and academic sector organizations that reflect the diversity of Canada’s Internet community.

The 2010 Nomination Committee is comprised of the following new members who join the committee for a two-year term: Colleen Arnold, Ruth Corbin, Rochelle Grayson, Jeff Rybak; Stuart MacDonald was re-appointed for an additional two-year term. They join current Members Ash Abhyankar, Malcolm Andrew, Gaston Gohou and Susan M. Mitchell to form CIRA's 2010 Nomination Committee.

CIRA wishes to acknowledge the contributions of outgoing Nomination Committee members: Tim Denton, Jim Green, Robert Guerra, and Omayma Moharram. CIRA also thanks all applicants and extends its congratulations to selected Members.
